Jiggz is a fine artist from Harlem, NYC, working in multimedia art. Jiggz, grew up in the 90’s era New York scene, attending Fiorello H. Laguardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts, where he was introduced to a wide range of mediums in the visual arts field; taking a particular liking to black & white film photography around 1996. He then went on to pursue higher education at Purchase College, in Purchase New York, where he was able to hone his craft, traveling as far as Spain and later on Japan; developing his artistic identity, while discovering his own unique voice. Set on the expansion of his artistic and cultural development, Jiggz set his sights on his own personal reinvention, matriculating himself into the Computer Art program at the School of Visual Arts, in New York City; stepping into the post-modern era with a master’s degree in Fine Art. At SVA , he was surrounded by international artists working in 3D animation, interactive installation art, web design, video and sound design. His tenure in the program resulted in a transformative experience, opening up his artistic sensibilities and allowing him to venture outside his existing body of knowledge, into a new artistic stratosphere. The experience was culminated by several experimental projects, most notably his graduate school thesis: an experimental Hip Hop album utilizing sound design as a core element-potentially one of the first of its kind.

Currently, Jiggz resides in Astoria, New York, where he continues to create meaningful projects through the use of visual story telling narratives, digital compositing and essays. He enjoys creative writing and historical research as hobbies, while he continues to seek new artistic territories to explore, experience and articulate.
